ICF Bogie Laminated
Brief Description :

    Integral Coach Factory (ICF) Bogie Laminated was developed by M/S Swiss Car and Elevator manufacturing corportation Ltd, Schlierern, Zurich. It is introduced on Indian Railways in the year 1951. Helical springs are used in primary suspension and laminated spring on the secondary suspension. The carriage body is supported on the centre pivot over the bolster, two ends which rest on bolster laminated springs and these inturn are suspended from bogie by four swing links. Bogie frame is supported by a pair of axle springs at each side. The axle are provided with spherical roller bearings.

    The production of these bogies are abolished and use is discontinued on Mail/Express services.
